In a career of 40 years in the performing arts, I have collaborated with many artists sharing inspiration and skills. In earlier days, I was grateful for the support of others and in later years, I was teacher or mentor and glad to share what I know, because if you love the arts you want to see all artists flourish.

2024 Maryjazz: Marina Sherstnova

Last year I had the pleasure to get to know a talented jazz pianist and composer, Marina Sherstnova. Coming from the Ukraine Marina had to start building her career from scratch here in Germany. We just talked about her strategies for getting more performances; we collected some great input from friends to collect ideas for performance venues and festivals. We worked on some promotional materials and made some applications for grants.
